David A. Kalkstein

Hi! I’m Dave. I’m a postdoctoral researcher working with Greg Walton in the Dweck-Walton Lab at Stanford University. I received my PhD in Social Psychology from NYU, where I worked primarily with Yaacov Trope.

In my research, I adopt a social-cognitive perspective to study issues related to social learning, social interaction, and social coordination. Within this, I am particularly interested how people learn from and interact with diverse and dissimilar others. I investigate these issues both through online and lab-based behavioral experiments as well as through large scale interventions in applied settings.
